I-SWEEEP 2010 kicked off with a huge start. International Sustainable World Project Olympiad, known as I-SWEEEP is a premier science event organized by Cosmos Foundation.
Houston, energy capital of the world, is home to over 1,000 brightest science like-minded students and their supervisors. Young talents from 70 countries and 40 U.S. states are displaying their science projects about pressing issues of energy, engineering, and environment. Winners of I-SWEEEP not only receive a medal for hard work but also monetary awards and scholarships from universities and businesses.
The official opening ceremony was on April 15 and brought together a wide array of people universities, K-12 institutions, government agencies, and energy industry. Texas Railroad Commissioner, Elizabeth Ames Jones was in attendance and greeted I-SWEEEP students.
