The following two policies have been adopted by the Board of Directors of Harmony Public Schools in accordance with Senate Bill 12: Board Policy 4.35 and 4.36.  These are being distributed in accordance with Texas Education Code Section 28.0022 and required by the passage of Senate Bill 12 during the 2025 Texas legislative session. The law took effect September 1, 2025, and the Board of Directors approved this policy on August 23rd, 2025.  

With the implementation of this legislation, Harmony Public Schools is to distribute these policies to its employees and contractors to provide notice of certain prohibitions against and appropriate discipline for any employee or contractor who intentionally or knowingly engages in or assigns to another person diversity, equity, or inclusion duties, as described in the policy and state law.
