Throughout 2025, Harmony Public Schools is sharing stories of impact from our 25 years of Inspiring Futures for families across Texas. Featuring stories from the people who passionately contribute to making a difference in the lives of our students each day, we will share where we started, how we've grown, and where we are headed for the next 25 years and beyond.

Looking back at 25 years of milestones

As we celebrate Harmony Public Schools’ 25th Anniversary, this timeline chronicles important milestones from each (Quinquennial) 5 years. Join us in celebrating our proud accomplishments throughout the last 25 years.

Founding

In 2000 Harmony Public Schools opens its doors to 200 students in Houston Texas. Over the span of 5 years they become a leader in STEM education.

Early Growth

In 2005, Harmony celebrated with its first graduating class. The organization saw its students succeed at state and National STEM competitions.

 

 

Expansion

2010 saw exponential growth for Harmony Public Schools as they entered their 10th year anniversary.  Student enrollment exceeded 35,000 in over 60 campuses.

Octavia Biresaw-Cobb’s connection with Harmony Public Schools spans nearly two decades, beginning as one of the first graduating students at the first Harmony campus, Harmony School Academy-Braeswood and evolving into a valued member of the Harmony team.
