When you ask a Harmony employee about their proudest career achievement they will answer with a resounding “Our Alumni!” Harmony Public Schools puts a priority on their alumni and it is evident in its practices and programs. Support of Alumni isn't a cliche around the halls and campuses, it’s a focus that drives programs and policy every day at Harmony. Here are a few of the alumni support programs found at Harmony Public Schools.
Alumni College Coaching Program (ACCP)
The ACCP is designed to support college-bound high school graduates through their critical first and second years of college. This program helps students succeed academically and personally by offering guidance from Harmony Alumni coaches. These coaches provide academic support, social integration, and career mentoring, fostering a community that boosts student retention and strengthens ties between alumni and Harmony.
Across Texas college campuses, Harmony Alumni support and mentor each other. Junior and senior college students team up with freshmen and sophomores, creating a built-in community for novice college students.
Grow Your Own Teacher Program (GYOT)
The GYOT program is an innovative fellowship aimed at preparing Harmony’s future educators and leaders. Harmony graduates who pursue a career in education qualify for reimbursement on education expenses. Additionally, GYOT residents receive professional development and coaching from field experts, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
HPS Give Day
HPS Give Day is an annual event held in early December, reaching out to stakeholders to support Harmony graduates in higher education. Funds raised during this campaign go directly to support college-bound and college-enrolled students through programs like the Alumni College Coaching Program. The commitment of Harmony staff is evident as many employees donate to support the students they are dedicated to.
Alumni Give Drive
Every April, Harmony kicks off a month-long drive to raise money for the Harmony Alumni Fund.
This program supports alumni through a scholarship program, by providing alumni coaching, mentoring scholarships and direct college and career support services The drive is supported by dedicated staff, reinforcing the commitment Harmony employees have to the students and families they serve.

Alumni/Employee
Harmony Public Schools is proud of its alumni and employees. The organization has a vested interest in seeing its students lead productive lives and find careers they love. Currently, Harmony employs over 350 alumni in various roles across the organization, including finance, education leadership, marketing, IT, operations, construction, HR, teaching, and school administration. It is rare to find a Harmony department without an alumni employee working to provide a high-quality education for the next generation of students.
Harmony’s focus on alumni is evident in its comprehensive support programs and the dedication of its staff. By fostering a strong community and providing continuous support, Harmony ensures that its alumni are well-prepared for their future endeavors and remain connected to the school that helped shape their paths.
