U.S. News & World Report calls Harmony among the Best High Schools in America for 2022

HOUSTON — All high schools in Harmony Public Schools’ Houston districts have been recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025 Best High Schools rankings.

Top Rankings for Katy and Sugar Land

Harmony School of Innovation–Katy was named the No. 1 high school in Katy and the No. 1 charter high school in the Houston area. The campus also earned a spot among the top 100 charter high schools in the United States. Harmony School of Innovation–Sugar Land was named the No. 1 charter high school in Sugar Land.

Schools on the 2025 List

The following Houston-area Harmony high schools made the U.S. News rankings:

  • Harmony School of Innovation – Katy

  • Harmony School of Innovation – Sugar Land

  • Harmony School of Discovery – Houston

  • Harmony Science Academy – Houston

  • Harmony School of Advancement – Houston

  • Harmony School of Ingenuity – Houston

How Rankings Are Determined

U.S. News evaluates schools based on multiple factors, including:

  • College readiness (30%)

  • Math and reading proficiency (20%)

  • Math and reading performance (20%)

  • Underserved student performance (10%)

  • College curriculum breadth (10%)

About the District

Harmony’s Houston district operates 30 campuses serving students from pre-K through 12th grade in Houston, Sugar Land, Katy, Cypress, Spring, Beaumont and Bryan. The system places a strong emphasis on STEM, character education, project-based learning and college readiness. Harmony high schools boast a 98% graduation rate and a 100% college acceptance rate for seniors.
