Harmony Public Schools is making it easier for families in Sugar Land and Katy to access high-quality early childhood education through new partnerships with two respected early learning providers: Villa Di Maria Montessori in Sugar Land and Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Cardiff Ranch in Katy.

These partnerships, led by Harmony's Houston South and West Districts, expand opportunities for eligible families to enroll their children in tuition-free Pre-K programs that support academic, social and emotional growth while building a strong foundation for future learning.

Supporting Kindergarten Readiness and Beyond

Early childhood education plays a critical role in preparing students for long-term success. Through these partnerships, students will benefit from engaging learning environments that promote curiosity, confidence and school readiness while aligning with Harmony's commitment to academic excellence and STEM education.

New Partnership in Sugar Land

Families connected to Harmony School of Excellence–Sugar Land Elementary can take advantage of Harmony's partnership with Villa Di Maria Montessori, a Texas Rising Star 3-Star certified program established in 2017.

Villa Di Maria Montessori offers individualized instruction led by Montessori-certified educators and emphasizes hands-on learning that encourages independence, creativity and self-directed exploration. Students enrolled through the partnership will benefit from personalized learning experiences, a strong focus on kindergarten readiness and alignment between Harmony and Villa Di Maria academic calendars and instructional schedules.

New Partnership in Katy

Families connected to Harmony Science Academy–Katy Elementary will have access to Harmony's partnership with Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Cardiff Ranch.

The academy uses a play-based curriculum that promotes school readiness through literacy, math, science and social-emotional learning. Students also participate in hands-on STEAM activities designed to foster creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills from an early age.

Participating students will benefit from experienced educators, a structured early childhood curriculum and learning experiences that support social, emotional and academic development.

Who Is Eligible?

Students may qualify for tuition-free Pre-K under Texas Education Agency guidelines if they are 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1 and meet one or more eligibility requirements. Qualifying criteria may include:

• Emergent bilingual learners
• Eligibility for free or reduced-price meals
• Experiencing homelessness
• Current or former foster care placement
• A parent serving on active military duty
• A parent who was injured or killed during military service
• A parent who received the Star of Texas Award
• A parent who is a public school classroom teacher in the district
