Harmony Public Schools’ Houston South and Houston West districts are celebrating exceptional student outcomes following the release of the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) 2026 accountability ratings.

The results highlight sustained academic growth across PreK–12 campuses in the region, with eight campuses earning overall "A" ratings and two campuses earning "B" ratings. Additionally, both the Houston South and Houston West districts maintained high system-level marks, scoring 86 or higher out of 100.

Across both districts, Harmony students outperformed state benchmarks in all 20 STAAR subject and content areas for the percentage of students meeting or mastering grade-level learning objectives, exceeding state averages by as much as 17 percentage points in Algebra I.

District Highlights & Top Honors

Several campuses across the Houston South and West districts achieved milestone performances in the 2026 evaluations:

• Harmony Science Academy - Beaumont: Demonstrating significant year-over-year progress, HSA-Beaumont jumped four points to earn an overall "A" rating (92 scaled score) up from an 88 ("B") in 2025. HSA-Beaumont swept 100% of its eligible TEA distinction designations, securing all seven honors across Academic Progress, Closing the Gaps, Postsecondary Readiness, and all four core subject areas. The campus earned a 93 in Closing the Gaps and a 91 in Relative Performance.

• Harmony School of Innovation - Houston: Serving a student body where 93% of students are economically disadvantaged and 49% are emergent bilingual learners, HSI-Houston earned an overall "A" rating (92 scaled score) for the fourth consecutive year. The middle school also swept all seven available TEA distinction designations. HSI-Houston achieved a 92 in Relative Performance and a 91 in Closing the Gaps, standing as the only Harmony campus with an economically disadvantaged population over 90% to earn an overall "A" rating in 2026.

These academic achievements build on Harmony’s commitment to whole-child development, reinforced by 57 Harmony campuses statewide earning national and state School of Character distinctions.
