Great things are happening at Harmony School of Excellence - Sugar Land Elementary and Middle Schools!
Governor Greg Abbott has officially named HSE-Sugar Land a 2026 Lone Star Ribbon School, placing our campus among an elite group of just 25 public schools recognized across the entire state of Texas this year.
This prestigious award honors top-performing public schools that maintain an overall "A" rating under the Texas accountability system while demonstrating consistent academic growth across diverse student populations. In Sugar Land, that commitment to excellence spans both our Elementary and Middle School campuses.
Second Consecutive Year of Recognition for Harmony
Established by Governor Abbott in 2025, the Lone Star Ribbon Schools program highlights public school campuses achieving top-tier academic standards. This marks the second year of the state recognition program and the second consecutive year a Harmony Public Schools campus has earned the honor. During the program's inaugural year in 2025, three Harmony campuses received the distinction.
Dr. Jamie White, principal of Harmony School of Excellence - Sugar Land Middle, credited the strong partnership between educators, students, and parents for the campus's success.
"When you see our students working hard and our teachers going above and beyond day in and day out, you know something special is happening here," White said. "Being named a Lone Star Ribbon School is official proof of what we see on our campus every day. I am deeply grateful to our staff, our students, and our families for making our school such an incredible place to learn."
Out of hundreds of public school districts and charter networks across Texas, only 25 individual campuses earned the Lone Star Ribbon designation this year—a testament to the hard work taking place in HSE-Sugar Land classrooms every day.
