Notice of District Safety & Security Committee Meeting

July 28, 2026

Harmony Public Schools Houston South & West  District Safety Committee meeting will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on July 28, 2026.  This meeting will be conducted online.  

This is a public meeting. Interested parents, staff, and members of the community are welcome to join us. Please complete the form on this LINK to sign up to be able to share your question and/or opinion respectfully. Each speaker will have no more than 3 minutes to speak.

  3. All campuses are required to have ballistic shields and breaching tools.
  4. District Safety Drills 
  5. Exterior Door Sweep
  6. State Intruder Audit Review 
  7. Reunification Annex/Planning Review
  8. MEOP Review
  9. Closed Session - Pursuant to Sections 551.076 and 37.109 of the Texas Education Code: Deliberation Regarding District Safety and Security Audit. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act (Subchapters D and E of Ch. 551, Texas Government Code), the Safety and Security Committee may enter into a closed/executive session to deliberate any subject authorized by Subchapter D that is listed on the agenda for this meeting. Before any closed/executive session is convened, the district liaison will publicly identify the section or sections of the Act authorizing the closed/executive session.

Any final action, decision, or vote on a subject deliberated in a closed/executive session will be conducted in an open session in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
