Laughter filled the air as students, families, and staff gathered for Harmony Science Academy-Plano’s annual family picnic, bringing the Panther community together to celebrate the end of another successful school year. More than 65 families attended the event, enjoying an afternoon filled with food, games, and community connection.

Families spent time with friends and teachers outside the classroom while incoming families had the opportunity to meet current Panthers and experience the welcoming, family-centered culture that defines HSA-Plano.

One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the student-versus-teacher soccer match. With classmates and families cheering from the sidelines, the HSA-Plano soccer team claimed a spirited 5–3 victory over the teachers, earning ultimate bragging rights and creating one of the day’s most memorable highlights.

The excitement on the field reflected the teamwork, school spirit, and sense of belonging that continue to strengthen the HSA-Plano community. From shared meals to friendly competition, the picnic showcased the relationships that make Harmony schools feel like home for so many families.

In the words of second grade teacher Ms. Jernigan, “Families plus friends, plus fun equals the perfect school picnic.”
