For six years, Tanya Munsami has watched her child walk into Harmony Science Academy-Plano with confidence.
“I love Harmony Public Schools because they make my student feel supported and challenged at the same time,” she shared during the recent “What Do You Love About Harmony” social media campaign.

Her words capture the heart of what families and staff across Harmony Public Schools’ North Texas District expressed throughout February. From Dallas-Fort Worth to Waco, parents and educators reflected on the moments, relationships and values that make their campuses stand out.
The campaign invited the community to answer a simple question: What makes Harmony special to you?
Again and again, responses pointed to a balance that defines Harmony’s approach: high academic expectations grounded in genuine care.
At Harmony Science Academy-Waco, staff member Cheryl Irwin has spent 15 years building relationships with families. Over time, those connections have extended far beyond the classroom.
“Many of those families feel like an extension of my own,” she said. “Those relationships are what make this work so meaningful to me.”

In Dallas-Fort Worth area campuses, parents described a similar experience from the family perspective. Suzi Rodriguez, now in her third year at Harmony School Of Innovation-Garland, said what stands out most is how personally invested the staff is in her son’s success.
“That sense of genuine care has motivated him to push himself academically in ways we hadn’t seen before,” she said.
Other families highlighted strong communication, enrichment opportunities and leadership that holds students to rigorous standards aligned with Texas requirements. Several noted growth not only in academics, but also in character and confidence.
Across North Texas, the responses painted a consistent picture. Harmony campuses are places where students are challenged to meet high expectations in STEM-focused classrooms, while also being known as individuals. Families described proactive communication, supportive teachers and a culture rooted in respect and disciplined excellence.
The “What Do You Love About Harmony” campaign was more than a social media initiative. It became a reminder that Harmony’s impact is best measured in lived experiences: a student discovering new confidence, a parent feeling heard, a staff member building trust over years of service.
In North Texas, what families love about Harmony Public Schools is not just a program or a moment. It is the steady partnership between educators and families, working together to ensure every student is prepared for college, career and a future filled with possibility.
Below are a few of the voices that helped make this campaign meaningful across North Texas.
