Harmony Educator Recognized for His Contributions to the Alamo's Historical Education

 

Harmony Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Kevin James, a South Texas District Instructional Coach for Social Studies, has been recognized for his contributions to historical education. As the only Public Charter school representative on the Alamo Education Partners panel, Mr. James plays a key role in the Teach the Alamo workshops, providing Texas educators with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits and resources aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards. His leadership in these workshops exemplifies Harmony Public Schools' commitment to fostering educational excellence and promoting innovative learning opportunities.

In addition to his role with the Alamo Education Partners, Mr. James serves on the prestigious National World War II Advisory Panel, where he has been honored as a Master Teacher by the National WWII Museum. His work in developing curriculum materials and teacher workshops has enriched history education nationwide, showcasing Harmony Public Schools' dedication to advancing leadership and educational achievement.

Harmony Public Schools is a Texas-born, Texas-wide public charter school system employing roughly 4,000 school professionals statewide. Harmony’s South Texas District offers 9 campuses serving PreK3-Grade 12 students in three South Texas cities, including San Antonio, Laredo, and Brownsville. The school’s curriculum places a heavy focus on STEM skills, character education, project-based learning.
