Celebrating Our STX District Teachers of the Year

Harmony Public Schools South Texas District is proud to recognize two outstanding educators who have been named District Teachers of the Year for their excellence in education and dedication to student success.

Ms. Franke, a high school English teacher at Harmony School of Innovation–Brownsville, has been selected as the Primary Teacher of the Year. Her passion for literature, unwavering commitment to academic excellence, and deep investment in her students’ growth have made her a standout educator. She is not only a leader in her classroom but also a role model across the campus and district.

Ms. Montoya, an elementary science teacher at Harmony Science Academy–San Antonio, has been named the Secondary Teacher of the Year. Known for her consistency, engaging instruction, and dedication to her students, Ms. Montoya continues to make a meaningful difference in her school community every day.

Both Ms. Franke and Ms. Montoya will represent the South Texas District at the Harmony Public Schools Leadership Summit this summer in Houston. There, they will compete for the statewide Harmony Public Schools Teacher of the Year title.
