New Campus 2025

Starting a new school can be both exciting and overwhelming—for students and families alike. At Harmony Public Schools, we understand the importance of making a strong start. That’s why we’re committed to providing not only an excellent education focused on STEM and character development, but also a welcoming, collaborative environment where every student can thrive.

Whether your child is just beginning kindergarten or transferring from another school, here are five steps to help your family feel at home in the Harmony community.

  1. Get to Know Your Campus Community

  2. Stay Informed With Harmony Tools

  3. Embrace the Harmony Culture

  4. Support Your Student’s Academic Journey

  5. Ask Questions and Reach Out

1. Get to Know Your Campus Community

Each Harmony campus offers a safe, caring and collaborative environment where students grow academically and socially. Take time to explore your child’s specific school:

  • Attend back-to-school events such as orientation and meet-the-teacher night.

  • Introduce yourself to the principal, teachers and support staff.

  • Learn about the campus’s communication tools, such as Let’s Talk, Skyward, Schoology, and school newsletters.

Building relationships early creates a strong support network and helps families feel connected from day one.

2. Stay Informed With Harmony Tools

Harmony uses several digital platforms to keep families informed and engaged. Key tools include:

  • Let’s Talk is an online communication tool that facilitates an ongoing dialogue between Harmony Public Schools employees, parents, students and community members.
  • Skyward Family Access – View grades, attendance and important announcements.
  • Parent Portal – Access to resources including School Cafe, RevTrak, Harmony Online Stores, Learning Apps, College Readiness Resources and so much more
  • ClassDojo or Remind – Receive direct messages from teachers and stay in the loop about class activities.
  • Schoology Schoology is an all-inclusive learning environment that brings everything students, parents and teachers need into one, easy-to-use digital platform that can be utilized for both in-classroom and at-home learning.

Check your email regularly for updates from your campus and district, and make sure your contact information is always up to date.

3. Embrace the Harmony Culture

Our mission is to prepare every student for college and career through a student-centered, STEM-focused education. You’ll see this commitment in action through:

  • Project-based learning that develops critical thinking and collaboration.

  • Clubs and enrichment activities that promote leadership, creativity and service.

  • Schoolwide character education initiatives that support respectful, responsible citizenship.

We encourage families to participate in school events, volunteer opportunities and parent organizations to support this culture of academic and personal growth.

4. Support Your Student’s Academic Journey

Harmony’s curriculum emphasizes real-world skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)—alongside a strong foundation in the humanities. Here’s how you can help your student succeed:

  • Set up a daily homework routine and designated study space at home.

  • Talk regularly with teachers and attend parent-teacher conferences.

  • Encourage curiosity, creativity and a growth mindset in everyday life.

Remember, you are your child’s first and most important teacher—and your support makes all the difference.

5. Ask Questions and Reach Out

Every transition comes with questions. Harmony staff are here to help you navigate everything from bus routes and school meals to academic accommodations and extracurriculars.

  • Don’t hesitate to contact your campus front office for guidance.

  • Follow your campus social media channels for the latest news.

  • Visit www.HarmonyTX.org and find your campus’ website for resources, calendars and district-wide announcements.

Your partnership is vital to your child’s success, and we’re honored to walk this journey with your family.
