Harmony Athletics

Building character through competition

At Harmony Public Schools, athletics is more than just a game—it’s an opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. Our athletics programs give students a chance to grow physically, socially, and emotionally while representing their schools with pride and determination.

What we stand for

Mission

Harmony prepares each student for higher education by providing a safe, caring, collaborative, and engaging atmosphere. Our Athletic Program provides students a variety of sports and extracurricular activities with a strong emphasis on character development that aligns with our academic programs.

Vision

The HPS Athletics Program develops students mentally and physically on and off the playing field, leading them into the world as productive and responsible citizens.

Core values

The HPS Athletics Program supports a positive campus culture focusing on academic excellence through competitive team sports. The values learned through the HPS Athletic Program will promote character growth, thus preparing students to be productive leaders of the campus and community. The HPS student athlete will learn many intangible characteristics and values such as:

  • Teamwork
  • Commitment
  • Dedication
  • Discipline
  • Humility
  • Respect

Opportunities for every athlete

Whether students are just discovering a new sport or striving to compete at a higher level, Harmony offers a range of athletic programs designed to match their interests and talents. Across our campuses, students participate in a variety of sports including:

  • A Harmony School of Technology player dribbles up the court during a basketball game.

    Basketball

  • A Harmony soccer player strikes the ball on a turf field.

    Soccer

  • A Harmony volleyball player leaps to serve during a match.

    Volleyball

  • A Harmony student-athlete competing in track and field.

Cross country & track & field

And more, depending on campus offerings — check with your campus athletic coordinator for this year’s teams.

Focus on growth and development

Harmony’s athletic programs emphasize skill development, character building, and sportsmanship. Our coaches are committed not just to competitive success, but to mentoring student-athletes as they grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.

Something for Everyone

We believe every student should have the opportunity to get involved. Harmony encourages participation at all levels and works to ensure our athletic offerings are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our core values.

A community of support

From fans in the stands to faculty on the sidelines, Harmony athletics are powered by a strong sense of community. Our athletes are supported by teammates, families, and school leaders who value the role of sports in education and personal development.

Volunteer and partner with Harmony

Harmony athletics depends on two kinds of support: families who show up at games and events, and organizations that back our campuses with resources. Both start in the same place — Harmony Partners in Education, the program that connects volunteers and community partners to all Harmony schools.

Families

Register once and your campus can put you to work at games, tournaments, spirit events, and everything around them.

  • Harmony runs a criminal background check before approving any volunteer. Approval covers one school year, so returning volunteers renew each year by signing in and updating their information.
  • Campuses post open roles by category, including Booster – Athletics, Coaching Support, and Field Trip Chaperone.
  • Once you are approved, your campus reaches out by email when help is needed — and you can browse and sign up for opportunities yourself.

Businesses and organizations

More than 500 organizations already partner with Harmony. Campuses post what they need, and partners post what they can give.

  • Answer a school request when a campus posts one, from in-kind donations to event support.
  • Or publish an offer of your own — sponsorship, judging a competition, spirit nights, internships, scholarships.
  • Complete three or more supporting activities in a school year and your organization can be recognized as an Outstanding Partner in Education.

Volunteering and partnerships are managed by Harmony Partners in Education for every Harmony campus, not by athletics alone — so one registration covers whichever school your family or organization supports. Questions? Contact the representative for your region.
